ANN ARBOR, Mich. – AFC Ann Arbor announced Friday Victor Plasse as the new head coach of its USL W League team for the 2025 season.

With three seasons as an assistant coach for the Mighty Oaks, Plasse has demonstrated his commitment to player development. He holds a National B License (in progress) and has extensive experience coaching at the University of Michigan-Dearborn and Plymouth Reign Soccer Club. He is also the former girls soccer coach at Plymouth High School.

Plasse’s international background, beginning in Togo and continuing in Ghana and France, further enhances his coaching perspective.

AFC Ann Arbor’s women’s team is coming off a 5-6-1 campaign in 2024, finishing tied for fourth with out of seven teams in the Central Conference Great Lakes Division with 16 points. The Mighty Oaks held a 21-19 scoring edge.

Detroit City FC won the division last year with a 10-0-2 record and 32 points.

This season AFC Ann Arbor will remain in the USL W League Central Conference-Great Lakes Division along with Detroit City FC, Union FC Macomb, Kalamazoo FC, Midwest United FC and Toledo Villa. Toledo joins the division with Flint City AFC and Michiana Lions leaving the USL W League altogether.
