FLINT, Mich. – The Flint City Bucks announced this past week that they have signed prolific Dutch scorer Bart Muns for the upcoming USL League Two season, pending league and federation approval.

Muns, set for a transfer to the University of Wisconsin ahead of the 2025 season, netted seven goals this past fall for the University of Illinois Chicago. Playing all 17 matches and adding one assist, the striker and attacking midfielder was named to the Missouri Valley Conference First Team for his efforts.

Muns has been consistent and prolific. In his 2023 season with UIC, he again played every game — leading the team with eight goals and tallying six assists. The Amsterdam native was named to the United Soccer Coaches West Regional Second Team.

Last summer, Muns gained USL2 experience with San Francisco Glens SC (8-1-5), scoring six goals and playing nearly 1,000 minutes across 12 matches.

Spanning all games, the Flint City Bucks finished 15-3-3 overall last season, including 10-1-3 in the Great Lakes Division of the USL League Two Central Conference. The divisional champs finished 2-1 in the USL postseason, topping the Cleveland Force (1-0) and Fort Wayne FC (2-1) before falling in the Central Conference finals (elite eight) to eventual North American runner-up Peoria City (1-0).

Against USL League Two competition, Flint City posted a 42-18 scoring edge, including 39-16 (plus-23) in Great Lakes Division play where the team recorded 33 points to qualify for the postseason once again.

Flint City Bucks and Flint City AFC (women’s) season tickets for the summer 2025 season are on sale now. Visit flintcitybucks.com to join the Flint City family today or two purchase merchandise, tickets or to follow the team.
