FLINT, Mich. – The Flint City Bucks re-signed Stephan Moreira for the upcoming USL League Two season, pending league and federation approval.

The attacking midfielder was among the Bucks’ top recruits for 2024. But after he assisted in the season’s first match, he was sidelined for the summer due to injury.

Over the past two college seasons, Moreira started 36 of 39 matches for Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, which won the Ohio Valley Conference and reached the NCAA Tournament both years. Moreira contributed six goals and 12 assists.

After his fall 2023 junior campaign, Moreira was showered with postseason awards. He was named OVC of the Year and received north regional second-team honors from United Soccer Coaches. He was also on the OVC first and newcomer teams.

Moreira is now set for a transfer to San Diego State University. He previously transferred from Bryan College (NAIA) after the 2022 season, when he amassed 16 goals and four assists. He redshirted his freshman year in 2021.

Before coming stateside, the native of Colchester, England, played for Aldershot Town FC, which competes in the English fifth-tier National League.

Flint City Bucks and Flint City AFC (women’s) season tickets for the summer 2025 season are on sale now. Visit flintcitybucks.com to join the Flint City family today.
