CHARLESTON, S.C. – It’s nearly USL Championship time.
In 30 days, the USL Championship will commence with the 2025 season, and the Charleston Battery will open the new campaign on March 8.
The Battery opens against Louisville City FC with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff that day at Patriots Point Soccer Stadium in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, on the campus of NCAA Division I College of Charleston.
Louisville and Charleston ended up the top two teams in the USL Championship-Easter Conference standings in 2024. Louisville won the regular season Eastern Conference title with a 24-6-4 overall record, while Charleston Battery finished in the runner-up slot with an 18-6-10 overall record.
Detroit City FC (15-8-11), Indy Eleven (14-11-9) and Rhode Island FC (12-7-15) rounded out the top five in the 12-team Eastern Conference.
